Nowadays, 3DCT system are generalizing in many clinic and hospital. And patients would easy to check surgical area and nerve in 3DCT.

Then what about X-Ray?

Let's expend surgical area (blue circle & purple dotted line)

* Before

Before having facial contouring, you would possible to see white line on face. Doctor would check surgical area through the white line. 

* After

After facial contouring, the white line is not shown anymore, which means doctor cut the mandible bone.
