The reason is that the part of recovery is different.

Question -  I have long face, should I have to undergo 2 jaw for reduction of long face? Answer - Patient who has malocclusion needs to get 2 jaw surgery. The purpose for 2 jaw is to correct functionality issue such as malocclusion rather than makes better appearance. Generally, it is possible to make better appearance through fat graft, silicone implants such as paranasal augmentation, jaw reduction, and chin surgery. As shown above before and after picture, the patient underwent New V-Line and extra sandwich osteotomy to correct long face.

Since it is possible to correct both square jaw and chin at once without T-osteotomy and fixation for creating V-Line without further surgery on the chin tip.
