Girin Information Center - New V-Line

Today's Topic - Girin New V-Line vs General V-Line Many patients ask to us about the difference of New V-Line with other existing V-Line procedures.  What is the difference? Here is the answer!  1. General V-Line (Mandible reduction + Extra Chin plasty [T-osteotomy, Sandwich osteotomy and etc])  * Secondary angle (red circles) after T-Osteotomy procedure   Chinplasty is suitable for patients who have long, asymmetry, and recede chin. Facial Contouring - New V-Line Before and After video

Facial Contouring - New V-Line Before and After video The new V-Line is the most advanced V-Line surgery. Since it is possible to correct both square jaw and chin at once without T-osteotomy and fixation for creating V-Line without further surgery on the chin tip. The existing square jaw reduction surgery could not make any dramatic result on a front face so a patient has to have a chin surgery (T-shape osteotomy) to get a V-Line. However, Girin Jaw Reduction can create the same effect as a chin surgery and moreover, it does not require of any screws, in turn reducing a tissue damage and improving a recovery period.   Thus, there would be no screws shown in X-ray as well. Unless T-shape osteotomy is necessary, long curve osteotomy is the most efficient.

Girin Question & Answer - I want to reduce my chin. Which procedure is suitable to me? T-Osteotomy or Long curve osteotomy?

Question - I want to reduce my chin. Which procedure is suitable to me? T-Osteotomy or Long curve osteotomy? Answer - If you want to only REDUCE chin, we recommend Long curver osteotomy method. Because, both procedures have different perform. T-Osteotomy would be performed for patient with long chin, short chin, and slight lantern jaw, but other chin types are not suitable for the procedure. Also the procedure is possible to do anterior sliding genioplasty or posterior sliding genioplasty.   However If you want to only reduce chin width and length, T-Osteotomy is not appropriate method. Long curve osteotomy procedure is possible to reduce chin width and length in one piece with no nerve damage. Since the procedure is simple and less osteotomy method rather than T-Osteotomy, recovery period is much short and fast.
