Today's Topic - Girin New V-Line vs General V-Line
Many patients ask to us about the difference of New V-Line with other existing V-Line procedures.
What is the difference? Here is the answer!
1. General V-Line (Mandible reduction + Extra Chin plasty [T-osteotomy, Sandwich osteotomy and etc])
* Secondary angle (red circles) after T-Osteotomy procedure
Chinplasty is suitable for patients who have long, asymmetry,and recede chin. Other is no need to get the extra procedures
As you can see the above picture, patient has to get several procedures (Jaw reduction + chinplasty) to get slim facial line. Those procedures cause excessive damage on mandible bone and soft tissues, so recovery period is slow with pain.
2. Girin New V-Line (Whole mandible reduction including chin-tip)
* After New V-Line Revision
New V-Line is the surgical procedure to correct both wide jaw and chin at once by long curve osteotectomy without extra chinplasty and screw fixation for creating slim jaw shape. The procedure is simple, short surgical period and fast recovery after operation.
And New V-Line has the low risk of side-effect such as secondary angle.
The procedure is suitable for patients who do not need to get extra chinplasty.
To find out procedures, patients need to meet doctor and check the bone through 3DCT. It is hard to let patient know through picture only.
