Today's Topic - Why skin is sagged after facial contouring? Most of patients ask about skin sagging when they are considering facial contouring and the reason of skin sagging is so various depending on procedure. However, there is a typical reason for skin sagging; Choose wrong facial contouring method . * Actual bone after T-osteotomy Generally, patient said that they need to get Jaw reduction with T-osteotomy to correct chin tip. But this information is half correct and half wrong. T-osteotomy is suitable for patients who have long, uneven, and recede chin. Other does not need to choose T-osteotomy. There are various procedures instead of T-osteotomy such as  long curve osteotomy, silicone implants and fat graft. So, how patients could know the proper procedure to reduce the risk of skin sagging? The answer is that patients have to visit clinic (or hospital) in person for checking which procedure is suitable with doctor.

Today's Topic - Revision Facial Contouring The 3DCT photo is shown revision facial contouring. The patient had underwent T-Osteotomy in other clinic and suffered from secondary angle.  During consultation, the patient asked to Dr.Lee to correct secondary angle (Red dot point on left pic) and remove microplate screw on chin (Red circle on left pic).  Dr.Lee corrected these issues through New V-Line with Long Curve Osteotomy, and the patient satisfied with the result after operation.

Question -   I do not have any issue on my nasal bridge, but I want to get better of my nose appearance.  What should I do? Answer -  Generally, patients undergo Rhinoplasty with Nasal bridge augmentation & Nasal tip augmentation.   However, patient who do not have any issue on nasal bridge such as nasal hump, deviated nasal bone, and wide nasal bone, does not need to choose nasal bridge augmentation. Through nasal tip augmentation only, nose shape and appearance would be much improved.

Question - I want to reduce my chin. Which procedure is suitable to me? T-Osteotomy or Long curve osteotomy? Answer - If you want to only REDUCE chin, we recommend Long curver osteotomy method. Because, both procedures have different perform. T-Osteotomy would be performed for patient with long chin, short chin, and slight lantern jaw, but other chin types are not suitable for the procedure. Also the procedure is possible to do anterior sliding genioplasty or posterior sliding genioplasty.   However If you want to only reduce chin width and length, T-Osteotomy is not appropriate method. Long curve osteotomy procedure is possible to reduce chin width and length in one piece with no nerve damage. Since the procedure is simple and less osteotomy method rather than T-Osteotomy, recovery period is much short and fast.

Question - Should I have to choose Incisional double eyelids surgery for revision? Answer - No, you do not need to choose incision method. Although you underwent incision double eyelids surgery before, there is no reason you choose same method again. If patient has any problem with eyes function, saggy skin, scar, a lot of soft tissue on upper eyelids and etc, then it is needed incision method. However, If you do not have any problem such as mentioned above, general revision cases could be corrected by Non-Incision method.
